I am thrilled to share that I have signed a new book deal with Thomas & Mercer for my psychological thriller DEAD AND GONE, which will be published in trade paperback, kindle and audio!

Publication Date

The publication date is to be announced although I expect a release date of later this year. The name is a working title but encompasses the story perfectly. I cannot tell you how excited I am about this book.  DEAD AND GONE portrays the story of a young married couple whose lives implode as their past returns to haunt them in the most harrowing way. I can’t wait to share it with you. If you’d like to know more please join my reader’s club for news.

DS Ruby Preston

I can’t quite believe that this will be my eighth book to be released. Now before you begin counting on your fingers, I’m not mistaken. Expect news on the next book in my Ruby Preston series real soon. I can’t say any more as I’ve been sworn to secrecy but I will share as soon as I’m allowed!

Grateful

Signing with Thomas & Mercer has been a dream come true. I’m so grateful to my agent Madeleine Milburn for striking me this fantastic deal, and to my editor Jane Snelgrove for signing me again. I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported me along the way. It is truly appreciated.

I’m often asked for words of advice by aspiring authors when I announce news. All I can say is keep on keeping on. You’ve got to put the hours in, dedicate time to improving your craft and making your writing stand out from the herd. Believe in yourself and you will do it, but be prepared to put the work in to get there.

I’d love to hear from you. Comments and shares are welcome.

    1. Thanks Laura, that’s lovely of you to say! I feel very lucky to be working with both Thomas & Mercer and Bookouture. Very spoilt. 🙂

  1. Well done, I love your writing. I always feel like I’ve lost a friend when I finish a book I love, so it’s great to have another one to look forward to. All the best and keep writing.

    1. Thanks Denise, I’ve often feel bereft after I finish writing them. The characters have a way of getting into your head, don’t they? I’m so glad you’re enjoying my books. There are lots more to come.
