This is a very special Christmas for me as it’s my first as a full-time author. February 2017 would have been my tenth year in the police. Normally I would be preparing to work long hours over the festive period in a very demanding job. I’m feeling very fortunate to be able to spend this time launching my book and being able to open presents with my family on Christmas day instead. The fireplace is adorned, Lara my dog is guarding the presents under the tree and my kids are excitedly counting the days to 25th December.
My stand-alone psychological thriller Witness has made its debut on 20th December and I’m thrilled with the response so far. It’s a book that I poured my soul into while writing, using my personal experiences in dealing with victims of domestic abuse to guide my way. It made me laugh, made me cry, and Solomon is a character who will stay with me forever.
I’ve been lucky enough to enlist a team of amazing book reviewers to join my blog tour. You’ll find me on social media under #WITNESS. Thanks so much to everyone who has shared and reviewed.
I know I’ve said it a million times but I’m truly grateful for your support. I hope you enjoy reading Witness with your feet up by the fire, perhaps with a glass of fizz. Wishing you and yours a fantastic Christmas and happy New Year. Until next time.
